Loyola International School goes Around the World in its Annual Day Celebration
The Annual Day celebration at Loyola International School was a true spectacle with a theme of “SAMYATI” – Journey Around the World. The students showcased diverse cultures and countries through their mesmerizing dances and performances, leaving the audience spellbound.
We were honored to have H.E. Gautam Bhattacharyya, the Ambassador of Sweden to the State of Qatar, as our Chief Guest. The event was held at Al Arabi Sport Center and was a huge success, receiving thunderous applause from everyone in attendance.
The students brought the celebration to a close with a powerful rendition of Michael Jackson’s “Heal the World,” reminding us all of the importance of coming together to create a better future for ourselves and generations to come. The Annual Day celebration was a resounding success, showcasing the students’ talents and the school’s commitment to excellence.
“REFLECTIONS 2022 – Loyola International School’s 6th Annual Arts & Science Exhibition (Al Nasr branch) – Attaining Synergy between Quality Education and Stimulating Innovation!
The Exhibition held in the school premises on 28th October 2022 provided a platform where students displayed hands-on experience of the concepts that they otherwise study only theoretically. The school saw innumerable projects that displayed the amalgamation of critical thinking and creative skills of the students and the teachers. Students showed their mastery as they explained their projects with immense enthusiasm.
Education Fair – brought in the “Fair-like” ambience with handmade selfie booths, vibrant decorations, and stalls of games and food.”
In the Fun week, our young students enjoyed a variety of activities that brought immense joy and excitement. They engaged in creative pursuits such as origami rocket-making, crafting summer-inspired ice cream from paper, and making delicious fruit salads. The little ones also played with colorful bubbles and solved crossword puzzles with letters and numbers. Caterpillar-themed art projects with vibrant colors added to the fun. Each day featured a different colorful breakfast, enhancing the festive atmosphere of the week.
Celebrating Fathers at Loyola International School
“Dad: A son’s first hero, a daughter’s first love.”
It is hardly ever possible to put into words the endless love, support, and sacrifices that fathers make. To honor and appreciate dads in small yet meaningful ways, our students poured their hearts into creating beautiful cards. These heartfelt creations were a tribute to the incredible role fathers play in their lives, recognizing them as their children’s first heroes and first loves. Through this activity, our students expressed their deep gratitude and admiration for their fathers, celebrating the unspoken bond and the countless acts of love and support they receive every day.
Loyola International School celebrated the spirit of Eid by organizing a special charity drive, collecting food items and daily essentials for the Indian Community Benevolent Forum (ICBF). Through this act of giving, we embodied the core principles of Eid—compassion, generosity, and community spirit. Our students, parents, and staff came together to contribute generously, reflecting the values of empathy and solidarity that Eid promotes. This initiative not only provided much-needed support to those in need but also taught our students the importance of giving back to the community. The charity drive was a heart-warming demonstration of how we, as a school, can make a positive impact and uphold the true essence of Eid.
REFLECTIONS: Loyola International School’s Education Fair
Our Annual Science and Arts Exhibition was a mega celebration brimming with the synergy of knowledge and limitless creativity. The campus came alive with projects, showing off the creativity and passion of each of our students. Detailed working models, vibrant art displays, role plays, narrations, and fun games filled our galleries.
This fair is more than an exhibition; it is a platform for students to apply classroom knowledge to practical applications, reinforcing their learning and embedding it into their permanent memory. These experiences encourage students to think critically, question more deeply, and innovate. Events like these challenge their critical, scholastic, and creative abilities, allowing our students to thrive and often exceed our expectations.
Chairman Mr. R Venkat Rao praised the students’ enthusiasm and creativity. The festive atmosphere, complete with educational decorations and selfie booths, made the fair a heart-warming celebration of knowledge and creativity. REFLECTIONS celebrated our community, creativity, and the endless possibilities that await us all.

Environment Day is a special occasion that underscores the importance of raising awareness and engaging our young generation in the cause of environmental conservation. It is crucial for our students to understand their role in protecting the planet, and at Loyola International School, we are dedicated to this mission. Through purposeful activities and initiatives, we bring joy and a sense of responsibility to our students. At Al Nasr Campus, our Einstein Club, dedicated to fostering a love for science and environmental stewardship, organized a series of engaging activities during our LAMP session. From coloring to crafting bird feeders, our students learnt the importance of environmental conservation and pledged to make a difference.
Our young kindergarteners experienced the joy of watching something grow from a small seed into a beautiful plant. They planted seeds and looked forward to watching them sprout into new life.

Our students joyously celebrated the birthday of His Highness Sheikh Tamim, honoring a visionary leader who continues to inspire and elevate our nation. Students expressed their admiration and well-wishes by creating beautiful bouquets and heartfelt cards, wishing for his long life and prosperity. a shelter from the storm.” Our kindergarten wings celebrated Mother’s Day on Saturday, 11th May 2024, to express our gratitude and cherish the cherished bonds of family and motherhood. They organized a few competitions for the participants to showcase their creativity through culinary artistry, transforming faces into colorful works of art, and demonstrating eco-friendly creativity by repurposing discarded materials into new and useful items. Each competition celebrated Mother’s Day in a unique and creative way, highlighting the talents and ingenuity of the participants.

The vibrant event, graced by esteemed Chief Guest Mr. A.P Manikantan, President ICC, Qatar, and attended by the Principal, management team, teachers, and parents, set the stage for an inspiring journey ahead. From the eloquent recitation of the Holy Quran to the captivating march of the Student Council, each moment was infused with significance. The formal conferment of badges, house flags, and sashes, alongside the administration of the oath, symbolized the students’ steadfast dedication to upholding the school’s values. The Head Boy and Head Girl’s heartfelt expressions of gratitude and the enthralling dance performance further added to the ceremony’s allure. As the event culminated with the stirring National Anthems of Qatar and India, it epitomized the spirit of unity and pride. Students at LIS recently celebrated Science Day, an event that ignited curiosity and fostered innovation among our young scholars. School held a special assembly commemorating Sir C.V. Raman and his remarkable findings. From captivating experiments by our SIF Finalists to thought-provoking skits and inspiring speeches, we reaffirmed our commitment to using science and technology for a brighter, more sustainable world. Our LAMP activities, be it building robotic hands or exploring beautiful constellations, it kindled the curiosity to understand the science behind the wonders of the existing world and also have their creative spirits run wild to imagine a futuristic world. Annual Sports Day Celebration
The school had its unforgettable Annual Sports Day on Feb 10th, 2024. The event was held in Al Arabi stadium. We were privileged to welcome Sufiya Sufi, an ultrarunner with an illustrious record of achievements, as our esteemed Chief Guest. The event kicked off with the inspiring sight of the school flag unfurling, followed by a majestic march past and the symbolic lighting of the torch, setting the tone for a day brimming with athletic excellence. The competitive spirit was palpable among students from both campuses as they showcased their skills, with enthusiastic cheers echoing from the sidelines. From exhilarating sprints to thrilling relays and impressive long jumps, the day was filled with thrilling athletic events. Congratulations to all our deserving winners! With a successful event, we pledge to instill and maintain the ethos of sportsmanship and continue to rally behind our champions with unwavering support!
Picnic Chronicles
Stepping beyond the classroom walls, our students embarked on an exciting journey of exploration and joy as they set out for a memorable picnic to Mshreib Museum, Doha Expo, Dadu gardens, Kidzania, Mia Park, Angry Birds World and the enchanting Purple Island. From unraveling the mysteries, involving in engaging games to basking in the beauty of nature, every moment was a canvas for creating unforgettable memories.
Inter- School Art Competition – VARNA
Vibrant hues of creativity came to life at VARNA, our Inter-School Art Competition held on January 27th, 2024! LIS brought together 16 Indian schools and an International counterpart for the event which transcended borders and united young artists from diverse backgrounds on a shared canvas of inspiration. The atmosphere was electric with excitement as participants poured their hearts into their masterpieces, showcasing their unique perspectives and imagination.
Inter- School Art Competition – VARNA
This Republic Day, the air at our school resonated with the echoes of pride as we commemorated the 75th anniversary of India’s journey as a sovereign nation. The school assembly echoed with patriotism as our students, teachers, and staff gathered to honor the occasion. The excitement as the Indian National Flag unfurled, symbolizing the unity in our diversity. The heart of the celebration was a musical ode to the nation, orchestrated by our talented students under the guidance of our music teacher, Mr. Nikhil. Their rendition of a beautiful medley of patriotic songs not only lifted spirits but also resonated with the pride we all felt for our remarkable country. Adding an extra layer of significance, the LAMP sessions were dedicated to various activities that celebrated the essence of the nation. This Republic Day was more than a celebration; it was a reaffirmation of our commitment to the ideals that our constitution embodies.
Loyola being a multicultural space of students from various parts of the world celebrates festivals from all over and exercise inclusivity. Celebrating Easter, one of the most important festivals of the Christian calendar, and learning about manifestation of victory of truth over evil, co curricular activities were conducted in the school premises. Making bunnies and colouring the Easter Bunny while learning about the festival spread joy, encouraged focus, and nurtured creativity.
Eid Activity
Ramadan: The holiest month of the year in Islamic culture; Time for spiritual reflection and growth; Time to help those in need; Time when Muslims abstain from physical pleasures during the daylight hours; Time to reflect on one’s life, seeking to become closer to God and to lead a more virtuous life.
Understanding the essence of this rich culture and celebrating its beautiful traditions, students of Loyola International School participated in various activities. Students coloured beautiful pictures, made beautiful lanterns, cards and wall hangings. They decorated their classes with their handicrafts and celebrated the feeling of togetherness.
Father’s Day Celebration
DAD: A Son’s First Hero and a Daughter’s First Love; the one who guides us throughout our lives; someone we look up to no matter how tall we grow! Their contribution in the family is unfathomable. Loyola International School pays respect and shows gratitude to all the real life superheroes by celebrating Father’s Day.
Students wrote down and shared their best memories with their dad; presented handmade “Best Dad” badge to their father; wrote the things they are grateful for and put it in the “Gratitude Jar”; prepared Flip Books to show the bond they shared with their fathers and kindergarteners dressed like their super-dads and made key-chains for them!! Fathers were showered with love and respect through these activities and truly brought out the essence of Father’s Day!
Gandhi Jayanthi
Gandhiji (Father of the Nation – India) believed non-violence and tolerance require great courage and patience. In a world that is moving through the phases of war marred by violence and terrorism, there is a significant requirement for Gandhian idea of Non- violence more today than in the past.
With the gratitude that we all have towards Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi for introducing new principals and having lead the country to independence, his birth anniversary is celebrated as a national pride. Loyola International School paid tribute to this exemplar by conducting various activities in the school.
A special assembly was conducted by the students starting with a patriotic song by the school choir and many other beautiful performances instilled patriotism and gave the opportunity to the children to work on their stage presence.
The Fancy Dress Competition for grades 1 & 2 was a delightful spectacle, with miniature versions of Gandhi Ji and other national leaders walking around. It was a joy to see these young children dressed up as important figures from India’s history. The Poster Making Competition allowed students to unleash their creativity and express their thoughts, while the Elocution Competition and Debates for the higher grades helped students develop important public speaking and presentation skills.
Overall, the day was a celebration of Gandhi Ji’s legacy and the values he espoused, such as non-violence, tolerance, and courage. It was a fitting tribute to the man who led India to independence and continues to inspire people around the world
International Nurses Day
Every year on May 12th, International Nurses Day is celebrated around the world to honor the incredible work of nurses and healthcare workers. This year, the theme of International Nurses Day is “Nurses: A Voice to Lead – Invest in Nursing and Respect Rights to Secure Global Health.” Loyola International School celebrated by conducting a variety of activities, including students dressing up as nurses and thanking them for their dedication and sacrifice. The nurses and healthcare workers who are on the frontlines saving lives are truly inspiring and deserve our respect and admiration.
Teacher’s Day Al-Nasr
Teacher’s Day is an annual celebration in honor of teachers and the important role they play in shaping the minds of young people. It is held on September 5th, the birthday of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, a philosopher, statesman, and renowned teacher. Teachers are the second mothers of their students, guiding and nurturing them with love and firmness. They inspire hope, ignite imagination, and instil a love of learning.
On this special day, Loyola International School honored Teachers, their hard work and dedication. Students celebrated their teachers by creating beautiful, colourful cards for them. Students made handmade flower bouquets, pop-up cards, and gifts for their teachers, and expressed their adoration for them. The enthusiasm and creativity of the students to celebrate the sacred relationship of a teacher and student made it a special day for everyone.
The Hindi Department of Loyola International School – Al-Nasr Campus recently hosted Hindi Diwas.
Hindi Diwas is celebrated on 14th September every year in India to promote and propagate the official language. Hindi is also the fourth most spoken language in the world after English, Spanish, and Mandarin.
The event was graced by Managing Director Mr. R. Anup Chakravarthy, Operational Director Mr. Sarat Koduru, Principal Mr. P.K.V. Prasad, Vice Principal Ms. Mou Bera, students, parents and teachers.
Hindi language specialist Dr. Sima Chaudhury was the chief guest of the event, Dr. Chaudhury appreciated the effort of the students and won the heart of the audience with her recitation.
Vice Principal, Ms. Mou Bera welcomed the gathering. Students regaled their virtual audience with melodious Hindi songs, energetic recitation of Hindi poems and eloquent speeches. Audio-visuals were presented that highlighted the historical significance of Hindi Diwas.
World Environment Day Al-Nasr
World Environment Day is a global celebration that raises awareness about the importance of protecting the planet and its natural resources. As the population grows and economic development continues to increase, the exploitation of natural resources has led to pollution and degradation of the environment, threatening the delicate ecosystem and biodiversity. It is the responsibility of all of us to take action to protect the environment and ensure a sustainable future.
This year, Lal Cares & Mohanlal Fans Online Unit, Qatar, partnered with Loyola International School to celebrate World Environment Day. The members of Lal Cares & Mohanlal Fans Online Unit presented trees and joined the students of Loyola in planting them. It was a meaningful experience for all of us to come together and take action to make a positive impact on the planet. We are proud to be agents of change and to do our part in protecting the environment.
