Loyola International School proudly celebrated the Kindergarten Graduation Ceremony marking a major milestone for young learners of KG-II from both campuses. The event was a vibrant celebration filled with inspiring expressions, lively performances, and proud moments for students, teachers, and parents.
The welcome dance by young students set an energetic tone for the day, while the graduation song performed by the little graduates resonated with warmth and joy.
Everyone was enchanted as the kindergarteners marched down the red carpet in their graduation attire. The air was filled with mixed emotions as parents reminisced about their once-anxious toddlers, now transformed into confident and enthusiastic young learners. They beamed with pride as their children received the graduation certificates, celebrating their first educational milestone.
The program was graced by distinguished guests who added a special touch to the celebrations. Ms. Priya Bhedi, President of the Indian Women’s Association, highlighted the importance of early education in shaping a bright future. Mr. Noufal, Deputy Manager of QFM Network, applauded the school’s commitment to nurturing young minds. Ms. Nirmala Guru, Managing Committee Member of ICBF, spoke about holistic learning, while Ms. Sabeena M K, the First Woman District Director of Toastmasters International (Qatar Chapter), encouraged students to aspire for greatness and embrace lifelong learning.
Special Guest Ms. Andrea Koduru expressed her best wishes to the students and teachers. Director of Operations Mr. Sarat Koduru commended the efforts of teachers and parents in shaping the young learners and encouraged the graduates to stay curious and enjoy learning. He also appreciated the parental support and congratulated everyone on the wonderful event.
The school’s principal, Ms. Bhavna V S in her address, commended the partnership of teachers and parents in nurturing young minds and preparing them for the future. “Education begins with curiosity, and today, we celebrated not just an achievement but the beginning of a lifelong learning journey,” she said. She also urged parents to spend quality time with their children and support them throughout their learning journey.
She expressed her gratitude to the support staff for their care and compassion towards the kindergarteners, and commended the teachers for their selfless efforts in shaping young minds.

Loyola International School Hosts Grand Annual Sports Day 2025
Loyola International School hosted its much-anticipated Annual Sports Day 2025, bringing together 920 athletes from both campuses for an unforgettable showdown. With 72 sporting events and dynamic drills, the day was a true celebration.
The prestigious event was graced by Mr. E.P. Abdurahiman, President of the Indian Sports Centre (Embassy of India), President of Qatar Indian Association for Sports and Games (QIA), and Founder President of the Indian Pharmacists Association – Qatar (Iphaq), as the Chief Guest. His presence added prestige to the occasion, inspiring students to embrace the power of sports in their lives.
A Grand Opening Ceremony:
The inaugural ceremony set an electrifying tone, beginning with a warm welcome address by the Sports Captain, who set the stage for an exhilarating day. Ms. Bhavna Sonkamble, Principal of Loyola International School, and Mr. Anup Chakravarthy, Managing Director, both emphasized the importance of sports in character building, discipline, and teamwork. Mr E.P.Abdurahiman had the honour of lighting the ceremonial torch and hoisting the school flag. The march past, led by the school’s band squad, was a magnificent display of discipline and coordination.
The Sports Captain (Boys) administered the oath, instilling a sense of fairness and commitment in the young athletes. The official opening of the meet was marked by the release of doves and balloons into the sky, signifying the limitless potential of Loyola’s young athletes.
A Day of Athletic Excellence:
The audience was treated to spectacular dance drills by students from Grades 5 to 9. As the competition commenced, athletes competed fiercely in various track and field events. The main sporting events included:
Track & Field: Sprints, track races, long jump, shot put, hurdle races and relay races.
Team Sports: Football, basketball, and throwball.
Skill-Based Challenges: Balancing and target-based competitions.
The energy and enthusiasm of the participants were infectious, with every race pushing the limits of endurance and skill.
With cheers echoing through the stadium, the event concluded with a grand prize distribution ceremony, where winners were celebrated for their outstanding performances. Loyola International School Celebrates Inaugural Grade 12 Farewell and Graduation Ceremony
Loyola International School marked a historic milestone with its first-ever Grade 12 Farewell and Graduation Ceremony. The event celebrated the achievements of the pioneering batch of Grade 12 students, who have set a high standard for future generations of Loyolites. The ceremony was graced by Mr. Manzoor Moideen, a distinguished personality and Managing Director of Genius International WLL, as the Chief Guest.
The evening was filled with emotion, pride, and optimism as students, parents, faculty, and guests gathered to honor the graduating class. Mr. Manzoor Moideen, a renowned corporate trainer, co-author of the Amazon best-selling book *Decoding Communication*, and a prominent figure in Qatar’s professional and social circles, delivered an inspiring address. Drawing from his vast experience as a soft skills trainer and Toastmasters International leader, he encouraged the graduates to embrace communication, resilience, and lifelong learning as they step into the next chapter of their lives.
The ceremony also featured heartfelt speeches from LIS Managing Director, Mr. Anup Chakravarthy, and the Director of Operations, Mr Sarat Koduru, who extended their warm wishes to the graduating class. They emphasized the school’s commitment to nurturing well-rounded individuals and expressed confidence in the students’ ability to excel in their future endeavors. Loyola International School recently organized VARNA 2.0 – The Inter-School Art Competition, bringing together young artists from across Qatar in a spectacular celebration of creativity. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from over 22 schools, with students showcasing their artistic talent across six exciting categories.
The competition featured Pastel Painting and Finger Painting for the Sub-Junior category, Collage Making and Scenery Drawing for the Junior category, and Imagination Unfinished along with Still Life Study – Pencil Drawing and Shading for the Senior category. Each category challenged students to express their thoughts, perspectives, and artistic skills in unique and imaginative ways.
Loyola International School had the distinct honor of hosting two renowned artists of Qatar as judges for the competition—Richa Bahl, President of the Visual Arts Forum India, Qatar, and Manoj Kumar, a distinguished artist. Loyola International School recently held its Inter-Campus Spell-Bee Competition, where students from Grades 1 to 4 battled it out in a thrilling display of spelling mastery! The competition was designed to test their vocabulary, quick thinking, and linguistic skills, pushing them to spell their way to victory!
The competition consisted of three engaging rounds:
Round 1: Rapid Fire Round – Quick-thinking spellers had to answer at lightning speed!
Round 2: Picture Identification Round – Connecting images to words, testing spelling and comprehension.
Round 3: Themed Quest – Challenging participants to decode words in a high-stakes finale!
Students from both the Oasis and Al Nasr campuses competed in a challenging yet exciting contest, spelling their way through rounds that tested their vocabulary, pronunciation, and quick-thinking skills. The competition not only encouraged academic excellence but also fostered healthy competition, teamwork, and a love for language.

Loyola International School: Shaping Leaders with Toastmasters Club

The first session held in October, was graced by a special visit from Distinguished Toastmaster (DTM) Jennifer Helen Ghosh, Region 8 Advisor, alongside other eminent personalities from the Toastmasters fraternity.

From a spectacular parade to the heartfelt “I Qatar” human formation, traditional dances, and vibrant activities, our students embraced the spirit of Qatar National Day with unwavering pride. Our students also created vision boards for Qatar 2030, sharing their dreams and hopes for the nation’s progress. Dressed in the colors of the Qatari flag, they waved them high, filling the day with joy, unity, and love for our nation.
Avishkar: 10th Annual Day Celebration
Loyola International School marked a momentous milestone with its 10th Annual Day celebrations, marking a decade of holistic education in Qatar. Themed “Avishkar”—meaning “Invention” or “Discovery” in Sanskrit—the event highlighted the school’s remarkable journey and its visionary aspirations for the future.
The first session transported the audience to 2050, exploring eco-friendly technologies, robotics, and advancements in education and medicine. Chief Guest Sheikh Ahmed Hamad A.A. Al Thani commended the school for fostering a nurturing environment and envisioning a bright future. Children’s Day – A Magical Celebration in Loyola
At Loyola, we believe Children’s Day is all about celebrating the pure joy and spirit of childhood—and this year, we made it unforgettable! From the moment students were greeted by the cheerful Yoko mascot to the fun-filled dance session with Yoko, the day was bursting with excitement.
Students enjoyed a bagless day packed with activities like competitions, card-making, fancy dress, story sessions, and endless games. They shared their enthusiasm with Mrs. Bhavna Sonkamble, our Principal, adding a special touch to the festivities. The day also featured movie time, dance-offs, and a nostalgic journey through the joy of being a child.
This Children’s Day was nothing short of magical, leaving our students with memories to cherish and smiles that lasted all day!
Loyola International School’s First International Educational Tour
Celebrating a decade of holistic education, 21 students from Loyola International School, accompanied by three dedicated teachers, recently completed a 10-day educational trip across the east coast of the United States. The itinerary was filled with iconic landmarks, hands-on learning experiences, and unforgettable cultural immersion.
In Orlando, students explored the magic of Disneyland, the wonders of space at the Kennedy Space Center, and the thrills of Universal Studios. Moving on to Buffalo, they marveled at Niagara Falls aboard the Maid of the Mist.
The group then visited Harvard and MIT in Boston, where they glimpsed the academic excellence of these prestigious institutions. In New York City, students toured Wall Street, attended a session at the United Nations, and reflected at the 9/11 Memorial, before ending their adventure at the iconic Statue of Liberty.
This milestone trip celebrated Loyola’s 10-year legacy of holistic education and also broadened students’ horizons and inspired new ambitions, making it a truly, an unforgettable experience.
Busy Bees Inter-School Competition
Our campus came alive on 21st September, as kindergarteners from across Qatar showcased their talents in the Busy Bees Inter School Competition. From Fable Fiesta to Spelling Bee, Math Bee, and Palate Parade, these young stars proved that talent knows no age!
With 126 little participants dazzling us with their creativity and enthusiasm, the atmosphere was electric! Our incredible judges, Mrs. Andrea Koduru and Mr. Christopher Almeida, had the toughest job picking the winners! Every child brought something special to the stage, making the day truly unforgettable!

Last week of the term at Loyola was all about FUN! We turned up the excitement with our Fun Week before the holidays. Students brought their favorite board games and had a blast during LAMP periods. Younger primary sections had class parties and enjoyed their hearts our with snacks, dance, games and fun activities! Nothing like some friendly competition and quality time with friends before the break!

Celebrating Fathers at Loyola International School

It is hardly ever possible to put into words the endless love, support, and sacrifices that fathers make. To honor and appreciate dads in small yet meaningful ways, our students poured their hearts into creating beautiful cards. These heartfelt creations were a tribute to the incredible role fathers play in their lives, recognizing them as their children’s first heroes and first loves. Through this activity, our students expressed their deep gratitude and admiration for their fathers, celebrating the unspoken bond and the countless acts of love and support they receive every day.
Celebrating the Spirit of Eid at Loyola International School
Loyola International School celebrated the spirit of Eid by organizing a special charity drive, collecting food items and daily essentials for the Indian Community Benevolent Forum (ICBF). Through this act of giving, we embodied the core principles of Eid—compassion, generosity, and community spirit. Our students, parents, and staff came together to contribute generously, reflecting the values of empathy and solidarity that Eid promotes. This initiative not only provided much-needed support to those in need but also taught our students the importance of giving back to the community. LIS Education Fair
On June 6th and 7th, 2024, Loyola International School came alive with its much-anticipated Education Fair, held at both the Al Nasr and Oasis campuses. The event was a resounding success, attracting students, parents, and educators alike. Classrooms transformed into vibrant exhibition halls, showcasing detailed working models, a dedicated Robotics section, creative art displays, documentaries, role plays, narrations, and games. Highlights included cutting-edge technologies in the Robotics section, such as electronic voting machines and dancing robots.
This fair is more than an exhibition; it is a platform for students to apply classroom knowledge to practical applications, reinforcing their learning and embedding it into their permanent memory. These experiences encourage students to think critically, question more deeply, and innovate. Events like these challenge their critical, scholastic, and creative abilities, allowing our students to thrive and often exceed our expectations.
Chairman Mr. R Venkat Rao praised the students’ enthusiasm and creativity. The festive atmosphere, complete with educational decorations and selfie booths, made the fair a heartwarming celebration of knowledge and creativity. Environment Day is a special occasion that underscores the importance of raising awareness and engaging our young generation in the cause of environmental conservation. Our celebration featured a special assembly where our talented students expressed their passion for the environment through singing, a thought-provoking debate, and a captivating skit. Kindergarteners sowed seeds of hope, Grade 6 students prepared delicious plant-based recipes and shared their learnings, while Grade 8 students participated in a quiz competition on the environment, general science, and current affairs. Together, we are nurturing a generation committed to creating a greener, more sustainable future.
Celebrating the Birthday of His Highness Sheikh Tamim
Our students joyously celebrated the birthday of His Highness Sheikh Tamim, honoring a visionary leader who continues to inspire and elevate our nation. Students expressed their admiration and well-wishes by creating beautiful bouquets and heartfelt cards, wishing for his long life and prosperity.
Among these tributes, Dhyaan from Grade 7F crafted a stunning piece of thread art, using 320 nails and 5 kilometers of thread, which left everyone spellbound. Already recognized in the India Book of Records for his Rubik’s Cube solving skills, Dhyaan’s remarkable tribute earned widespread admiration. Through creative cards and art, our students showed their respect for His Highness. May Sheikh Tamim’s wisdom and dedication continue to guide Qatar towards a prosperous and united future.
My Values My Identity: A Journey of Growth and Responsibility
Our school participated in the Ministry of Education’s “My Values My Identity” initiative, which encompassed a series of competitions aimed at nurturing essential values in our students. Through creating videos and projects on topics such as “My Responsibility Towards My Country,” “My Responsibilities Towards People,” “My Responsibilities Towards the Environment,” “Respecting People and Embracing Diversity,” “Appreciating Family,” “Appreciating Teachers,” and many more, our students gained invaluable insights into their roles within society.
These activities encouraged our students to reflect on their individual contributions and understand the significant impact they can have on the world around them. By engaging in these activities, they developed a deeper sense of civic duty, environmental stewardship, and social empathy. Our students embraced the opportunity to express their creativity and dedication, producing thoughtful and inspiring works that highlighted their commitment to these important values.
Empowering Assemblies: Life Skills and Health Awareness
Our school conducted a series of impactful assemblies focused on essential life skills and health awareness.
Our assemblies on “Navigating Negative Emotions” and “Time Management Techniques” equipped students with strategies to handle stress, manage conflicts, and manage their time effectively. They learned to acknowledge feelings, communicate honestly, practice self-care, and use creative outlets to manage emotions constructively. They also learnt the key to a successful future is rooted in our daily routines and effective time management.
In honor of Anti-Tobacco Day, the Grade 6 students presented a compelling skit highlighting the detrimental effects of tobacco. The assembly concluded with our Principal leading the students in an oath to abstain from tobacco and encourage others to do the same.
These assemblies are part of our ongoing commitment to nurturing a healthy, supportive, and well-rounded school environment.
Loyola International School excelled in the Class X CBSE Examination!
CBSE Board exams 2024 of Class 10 were conducted from February 15 to March 13, 2024 and the results were declared on May 13, 2024. This is the second year that Loyola International School has participated in the CBSE Board Exams for Grade 10 and is elated with the remarkable performance of its students. They proudly announced the outstanding achievements of its Grade 10 students.
A total of 76 students of Loyola International School appeared for the Higher Secondary School Certificate Examination (Class X) in February 2024. Out of which, 10 students scored above 90 percent and an impressive ____ percent students scored above 75 percent securing a spot at the distinction chart. Their success reflects the quality of education and the supportive environment provided by Loyola International School.
The top performers in this cohort have set a stellar benchmark. Sivananda Raj with her exceptional performance emerged as the overall topper with 95.6%, closely followed by Zimra Sihas with 95%. Srindhi Jaganath, with a commendable score of 94.2% secured the 3rd position.
The Principal of the school, Mr Pramod Kumar Ranwaka congratulated all the students for their successful completion of this milestone. He commended the invaluable guidance and support provided by the faculty, staff and parents expressing his gratitude for their tireless effort that played a pivotal role in the students’ phenomenal success.

Our kindergarten wings celebrated Mother’s Day on Saturday, 11th May 2024, to express our gratitude and cherish the cherished bonds of family and motherhood. They organized a few competitions for the participants to showcase their creativity through culinary artistry, transforming faces into colorful works of art, and demonstrating eco-friendly creativity by repurposing discarded materials into new and useful items. Each competition celebrated Mother’s Day in a unique and creative way, highlighting the talents and ingenuity of the participants.

Loyola International School’s Investiture Ceremony 2024-2025 ignited a fervent display of leadership and commitment as deserving students stepped into their new roles with passion and poise. The vibrant event, graced by esteemed Chief Guest Mr. A.P Manikantan, President ICC, Qatar, and attended by the Principal, management team, teachers, and parents, set the stage for an inspiring journey ahead. From the eloquent recitation of the Holy Quran to the captivating march of the Student Council, each moment was infused with significance. The formal conferment of badges, house flags, and sashes, alongside the administration of the oath, symbolized the students’ steadfast dedication to upholding the school’s values. The Head Boy and Head Girl’s heartfelt expressions of gratitude and the enthralling dance performance further added to the ceremony’s allure. As the event culminated with the stirring National Anthems of Qatar and India, it epitomized the spirit of unity and pride. Loyola International School emphasises on nurturing leadership and fostering a sense of profound belonging among its student; and this Student council and the Investiture Ceremony truly stands as an example of it.

Together, we celebrate our commitment to inclusivity and democracy, shaping future leaders and fostering a community where every voice matters.
On Earth Day, we come together to celebrate the incredible planet we call home, recognizing our collective responsibility to nurture and protect it. As we bring Earth Day into our school, we aim to spread awareness and empower every student with the knowledge and passion to be ambassadors of conservation and sustainability. It serves as a reminder that every small action contributes to a larger impact, encouraging us to live more thoughtfully for the world we share.
At Loyola International School, the entire school community came together to plant saplings and sow the seeds of change. A special assembly conducted on this occasion advocated the usage of environmentally friendly materials and promoted abstaining from using plastics. The highlights of the assembly were our brilliant choir, dance troupe, speeches, and most importantly, the pledge to save our planet. Furthermore, a myriad of activities emphasizing the importance of sustainability were conducted, including debates, poster making, slogan writing, and creating recycling projects. These activities aimed at raising awareness and reinforcing the roles each of us can play to conserve our planet for ourselves and the generations to come.
